Election Websites (For Governments)
Now that the majority of homes in America have a computer, many local governments are recognizing that the web can be a valuable tool for communicating information to their community.

Many counties are looking to modernize their election process.  It makes sense.  More people are voting than ever before.  The demand for information is high and budgets are getting tighter as processes streamline.

When developing a Web site, our only focus isn't on a cool design. We find that it is crucial to give equal attention to all of the aspects that make up a great site — organization, content, usability, maintainability, and, of course, design.

How much do you know about web design?
Chances are, you are not an expert in HTML or web design.  You don't have to be!  Not only do we give you endless support and updates, but we use interactive technology that allows you to make changes to your website without having to have any specialized training.  If you can send an email, you can up date your website!  It's that easy.  In fact, we have taught most of our users how to use the programs over the phone and in less than 5 minutes!

What can your website offer?

  • Real time voter returns -  Every time you have a new ballot count, post the numbers live on the internet.  Thousands of voters and candidates will be gathered around the computer monitor waiting for the results to change.  This is great because they won't be calling your office to ask for updates.  The press loves it, too!  They'll often pace your website and get the numbers to post on their website.

  • Candidate Profiles - Give the candidates a username and password to update their online profiles.  This gives the voters a chance to see what their choice are.  This gives the candidates an equal forum to display themselves and what they stand for.

  • Polling Locations - Ahh, the most common asked question - Where do I vote?  Enter in the address of the polling place and the precinct number and you're done.  A MapQuest TM map will be generated automatically to show the voter directions.

  • Sample Ballots - Upload sample ballots so the voters will be able to see what they'll be using on election day.  This way, if they have any questions, they can contact you before election day or before they go into the booth.

  • Register to vote - links to voter registration websites and state election websites will help the voter understand the process even better.  A better informed voter makes your job so much easier.

  • Election News - Keep your voters informed by posting news concerning the election on your website.  Important dates and deadlines, rule changes, office hours, and more are things people want to know.  Don't wait for or depend on the newspaper to publish your important news - put it on your website.

We can do so much more.  Just ask.  We'll try to implement your ideas into your website just the way you want them.  Don't know what you want?  Not to worry - our design consultants have the experience to make your website a success!
